My goodness. This story really wants to be written. Did another 4k today...yes, I was marathoning, but my goal was 3k. Then I ended up in the middle of a scene that demanded to be written. Interestingly enough, I think I've come up with a new way to get to where I was going so the last final humiliation doesn't have to happen. I may still use that scene, but it'll have a different flavor than the one I'd had planned. Thank goodness for Leenan :).

I'm so happy for your progress. Um... Mar.. I have a confession. I added you as a friend without asking you first. But I'm not on *your* friend list so I can't read your snippets and progress. :( You can tell me to bug off and I won't take it personally not in the least little bit, I swear, because I know writing is a very private thing.

Umm, snippets? You haven't missed much...there haven't been any :D. I don't post raw writing and I don't go back and edit until I finish a book. This combination means no snippets.

I don't have a problem adding you, or with you adding me ;), but what you see is what you get on Bring Out Your Dead. Maybe in the editing I'll pop up a few.

I envy you. Perhaps I should consider a method similar to yours. I find that when I start writing (the Muse beats me to death) I just continue until I am wasted. I've written as much as 14K at one sitting then sit around wondering what next. If the story takes life, I have to continue until it wanes. Of course, most days it seems I write zilch... that's when the Muse should really be hitting me!

hmm, well, I don't know what my method for writing is exactly besides just writing. I do prepare my outline in advance though. This keeps me in line so that when I have a moment to write, I can use it efficiently and such.

I think my highest word count day was 12k, but I'm not sure as I don't track word count daily. My biggest challenge is to keep writing from taking over my other tasks, such as money work and editing.

Thanks :). Just don't expect it to continue. I'm editing this week so yesterday was basically my only writing day :D.
