Writing Update

I know I tend to keep to the novel trade in this blog, but the fact is that this has been a heavy short story year for me so far and we have now entered into my play month. Forward Motion hosts a monthly challenge called Story A Day (or now pseudo renamed Story Accumulation Dare) where insane folks like myself try for 10, 15, 25, or 31 stories in the month of May.
For the last four years I have tried my best to finish up all other projects before May so I can just focus on the short stories. And for the last three, I've failed :p.
So, on my plate for this month, with some hope of progress on all, are the following:
1) At least 10 short stories
2) A completed outline for Seeing Is Believing (yes, I'm still limping along on a partial outline)
3) At least two more chapters of Seeing Is Believing
4) At least a map to the changes Selkie requires, if not the changes actually implemented
5) Assuming Selkie is completed and off to critters, the same for Kyrnie
6) An assortment of novel, short story, and chapter crits
7) Short story edits and submissions as usual
I think that's about it. Whether I'll manage even a fraction of these goals remains to be seen, but I aim to try :).
Today, the first day of SAD, I did complete my first short story for the dare. I also edited a short story and updated my spreadsheets for the next month. It's a decent start at least :).

Nearly finished with "Key". I might have something for you by tomorrow. That'll give you something else to add to your plate. ---maybe you need a platter.
