The Slow Slide into Insanity Begins

marfiskNo more progress on the outline, but in true insanity, I have signed up for a 4-day word rush on Forward Motion starting August 26th and going through the 30th. Goals are 10k, 20k, 30k, or >30k and a finished novel. Take a wild guess which I'm not going for ;). But anything up to and including 30k would be absolutely fabulous :).
For those of you just now exposed to the madness that is Margaret on a novel, I tend to write in fits and starts. I love the big pushes to get things done while I struggle with the ongoing progress that comes in dribbles, usually tucked in around other goals. I rarely allow myself the freedom to concentrate 100% on writing except for these challenges and will go to extreme lengths to make the challenge happen despite all my other responsibilities. Even if I only get 10k in the marathon, I will be committed to this novel and will hope to see it to completion before NANO (National Novel Writing Month). If not, NANO for me may be finishing this one, or I'll set this one aside for a while and look to another novel for that month.
