Ain't Marathoning Grand?
Another 2391 words and three scenes, short ones. This makes the book length shift, but I'm not too worried. It would be nice to start with an 85k-90k length and add things in the edit. Usually, I have to restrict everything to keep from being too long. These scenes were short mainly because they set up things further and give an overview of her life, but there's nothing to capture the reader and so I see no point in dwelling there. However, the complication with the master's son is still in effect, she's befriended the "moon woman" as she calls a pale-skinned slave, and she's slipping into this life a little more than she'd hoped to. I'm still finding it interesting at least :).
